I call it Vanilla Marketing- where you're so afraid to niche
down that you speak to no one specifically. I used to think this
way too- "if I narrow down my marketing message, I'm going to leave
people behind!" That's super base level thinking when it comes to
being an entrepreneur. The most successful companies know exactly
who they're speaking to and aren't afraid of "leaving customers
behind." Why? Because they know one simple marketing principal:
if you speak to everyone, you speak to no one.
